Who is eligible for MedOne? Anyone between the ages of 1 and 65 who is not a Japanese citizen.
It really couldn't be simpler—there is no discrimination or cost scale based on gender, age, occupation or country of origin. The Plan is open and available to all non-Japanese while they are visiting or temporarily resident in Japan.
It is extremely simple and easy to apply; in fact, you can do it in 5 minutes or less and right online. Just APPLY NOW and answer a few simple questions. You may apply before you come to Japan, or you may apply in Japan when you wish. We can supply proof of coverage to a Japanese employer without delay, wherever or whenever you apply.
Applications are subject to approval, and we notify you within 2 business days. Coverage starts at 0:00 hours JST on the first day of the term of the policy and ends at 24:00 hours JST on the last day of the term. (The premium must of course be received before the start of the term.)
Please understand that MedOne covers you only while you are in Japan. Additionally, applicants under the age of 20 must also have a parent enrolled in the plan.
